FREE DeliverySunflower hearts for birds are simply sunflower seeds with the outer husk removed. They are one of our most popular straight seeds as they are suitable for feeding a large number of different wild bird species. A great value alternative to sunflower seeds, sunflower hearts are virtually mess-free. They are also a great source of nutrition for garden birds, and can be enjoyed by softbill species.
Orders received by 3pm Monday to Friday will be dispatched via DHL on a no signature delivery service; simply advise us where to leave your bags. We don't deliver on Saturdays, Sundays or Bank Holidays.
Some orders less than 1kg in weight will come by Royal Mail.
Orders for Live Mealworms are sent directly from our supplier via Royal Mail. They are dispatched the same day if orders are received by 12pm Mon-Thurs; no orders are dispatched on a Friday. Please allow four working days for orders to arrive.
If you have not received your order within seven working days please contact us on 01775 630208.
We now deliver to all of mainland UK with no extra delivery charge. Please note that some postcode areas that are classed as Scottish Islands and Highlands may take 2-3 working days to arrive. For deliveries outside of these areas a £10 charge will be applied. Postcode areas affected include HS, IV41 – IV49, IV51, IV55 and IV56, KA27 and KA28, KW15 to KW17, PA20, PA41 to PA49, PA60 to PA78, PH42 to PH44, ZE, Isle of Man
We are unable to deliver to the Republic of Ireland or the Channel Islands.

Small urban garden in east London - on the feeders at the moment mainly goldfinches and great tits, a few blue tits and a few sparrows, but it changes every year. They all seem to thrive on sunflower hearts, now nicely packed in strong paper sacks and always delivered promptly. Not cheap - but what is, these days?

Having driven past Vine House Farm several times and wondered if they were open to public. Then I heard about the products on my local radio. So thought I’d try an order, I’m so pleased I did. I have been serving this to the birds in my garden all winter. Every thing seems to love this product. I have around 15 Siskins, 9 Goldfinch, 2 Long Tailed Tits, several Blue Tits, Chaffinch, 2 Collared Doves., Robin. Its a one feeds all feed, so it's quite affordable

Buy sunflower hearts for birds to attract a variety of wild bird species to your garden.
Sunflower seeds come from the flowers of sunflower plants, with the seeds developing as the flower dies off at the end of the summer. They are ideal for garden birds as they help provide them with the energy levels they need.
Although there are many varieties of cultivated sunflower, there are basically just two types that are used for seed for feeding garden birds; striped sunflower and black sunflower seeds (also sometimes called black oil sunflower). Striped has a harder outer husk than black, which is one of the reasons why black is more popular as it’s easier for birds to remove the husk.
Our husk-free sunflower hearts for birds are great for attracting a wide range of wild birds to your garden all year round. With the husk pre-removed, our sunflower hearts for birds can also be enjoyed by softbill birds. This includes birds such as the Blackbird, Song Thrush and Robin (see our 'What birds eat this' section for more information on this).
We also offer Sunflower Heart Chips. These are easier to consume for smaller species such as Dunnocks and Robins. Chips are an ideal type of bird feed for the fledgling season. Sunflower hearts are a nutritious seed and can be found in a number of our mixes. They are a great energy and protein source, which makes sunflower hearts ideal for all seasons and stages of bird life.
With the husk removed, birds can enjoy the whole seed without wasting energy on cracking them open to feed. This is especially important during colder months, when birds need to conserve their energy, and it also means that a wider range of bird species -- including softbill birds like Blackbirds and Robins -- can eat them.
